Vivint Solar: Brought to You by The Sun

Vivint Solar launched in 2011 and grew rapidly thanks to a turbocharged sales department. By 2017, there were a ton of different product-level messages in the market but no cohesive brand campaign to distinguish Vivint from its competitors. 

I led a 6-month makeover that included a brand campaign, website overhaul, direct mail, and a co-branded email campaign with ChargePoint and Mercedes-Benz Energy.

The core idea was very simple: personify the sun. It seemed logical to me that, being the center of our solar system and our sole source of light and heat, the sun would have a bit of an ego.
