Phil Gable is a cropywriter with 27 years of experience shaping brand voice, campaign narratives, and multi-audience messaging systems across industries where clarity and trust matter. He is more than just an accomplished creative; he is a trusted brand steward to his clients and a strategic partner to his collaborators.

Phil began his career as a copywriter in New York City, where he spent most of the next 25 years. He moved back to Atlanta in 2024. Today, he does most of his work remotely and travels for onsite engagements as needed.

Phil operates at the intersection of copywriting, brand strategy, content strategy, and line-level editorial rigor. He is often brought in to define or refine positioning, establish voice and tone standards, and translate complex offerings into simple, human language. But he is also an accomplished comedy writer and is frequently booked for projects that require high-level comedy writing.

Phil’s working style is built on quiet confidence: low-key in tone, high-intensity in standards. He doesn’t get rattled by tough stakeholders, tight deadlines, or constrained budgets. Clients like him because he’s direct and unvarnished—no inflated promises, no “creative theater,” and no copy that can’t survive a real conversation with a smart customer.

When he is not working for brands, Phil works on his own creative pursuits. In addition to performing and producing stand-up comedy in New York City, he has written for Comedy Central and created political street art that garnered international press in 11 languages.

A trusted writer in high-stakes categories

Phil is particularly effective in categories where language carries real consequences and credibility is hard-won. His experience includes extensive work in:

  • Financial services and fintech — complex offerings, regulated considerations, trust-building communication

  • Healthcare, wellness, and health-adjacent categories — clarity-first education, responsible claims, and human tone

  • B2B technology — technical value translated into business outcomes through unexpected, memorable campaigns

Across these domains, Phil is comfortable operating within legal/regulatory guardrails, collaborating with stakeholders, and maintaining consistency across all points of contact.
